Trek Madone SLR Gen8 - London Launch at Cyclefit

We knew something was coming and like everyone else, assumed it was a new Trek Emonda for the mountains. The effective news lockdown held until two weeks ago when Trek asked us if we could host a London launch of their all-new, highly controversial Gen8 Madone SLR. Controversial because Gen8 annexes forever the ten year run of Trek's Emonda. Launched ten years ago as the lightest road bike ever made!

Gen8 Madone is more sculpted and beautiful than outgoing Gen7 or Emonda. The ride is sharper than both.

Aero no longer means oversized

Gen 8 Madone - One Bike.

Gen8 represents a total re-think of the role of a race-bike for the next decade. No more conversations at pro or amateur level about which bike suits a particular course. Gen 8 Madone is as light as the outgoing Emonda and as aerodynamic as category leading Gen 7 Madone. It has clearances for 34mm tyres

Sarah from The London Academy is one of the first people in the UK to ride Gen8 Madone SLR. She was genuinely shocked.

What our clients say

  • "I have a lot of trust in you guys and I know how you work so I think we could do something good. Orthotics feeling good."

    Tom Pidcock

World and Olympic champion, Ineos Grenadiers.

  • "A great service, full of personal touches as well as the "harder" scientific analysis of my position on the bike, which was also excellent. I feel more planted on the bike now, and came away with some really useful feedback from the session."

    Ed H

    London Dynamo Rider

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    Susan

    Cyclist

  • "A different level of professionalism! Super friendly and they really cared."

    CB

    Regular cyclist

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "
