3 x 7 = ? (Perfection?)
Dean came to us a while back, when this project was in gestation. He is a man who carefully curates his cycling experiences - from DK200 races in the US to rides up the canal to Epping Forest. This, his third Seven had to be the ultimate road bike, both for today but would also last and be relevant for a generation. No pressure at all.
"The finest bike you will never see. It will drift by in a blink of understatement"
"The Seven XX is right now the benchmark of titanium peak innovation"
Seventh Heaven
There are many folk out there making beautiful ti bikes - our own Passoni and No22 and notably fellow Bostonians, Firefly (who contribute the seatpost and seat-clamp here). But nobody is contributing more to the titanium technical discourse than Rob Vandermark and Seven. I think we can all agree on that fact. Seven is both the singular point of history (Rob was at Merlin at the dawn of ti) and driver of future advance with this magic metal. And in that respect the Seven XX is right now the benchmark of titanium peak innovation.
