Open U.P.P.E.R. with Campagnolo Record

A Swiss Italian alliance

Nico1

Open Cycle's flagship light weight gravel/road bike is the most popular of the range at Cyclefit. This is the first we have built with a Campagnolo Record groupset.

Building a custom bicycle is often a collaboration between us and the new owner, they have a specification in mind and we guide them on what will and won't work together, contribute in areas regarding fit and source the components and bring the whole project together, this is one such example.

There is a lot of carbon on this bike to keep the weight down including the rare Easton EC90SL cranks with down sized gravel chainrings of 30t and 46t. These are paired with the 32t Super Record cassette which gives a less than one to one gear ration for steep climbs. We provided a second pair of Hunt Adventure 650B carbon rimmed wheels with Schwalbe Thunder Burt tyres for off-road use with the same cassette ratio.

This is a do everything bike for road and off-road adventures.

What our clients say

  • "A very thorough, professional and personal service. I was keen to analyse my bike position after breaking my hip. The custom footbeds and alterations to my position feel really good, just wish I’d come sooner! Many thanks"

    TD

    Endurance MTB rider

  • "The personal service from both Phil and Julian is second to none. They have such a wealth of experience in fitting that they can almost tell at a glance if something is just a little off. It felt as though it didn't matter how long it took to get the best position possible - even for an amateur cyclist like myself. Can't recommend them enough."

    Susan

    Cyclist

  • "I'm new to cycling so needed some support on finding a bike that would be right for me. Julian couldn't have been kinder or more supportive, he took time to find out what I wanted from my cycling and then looked closely at my physical structure to ensure that the bike is a comfortable fit for me. It really is a 5 star service and far exceeded my expectations."

    RM

    New Cyclist

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "

    Peter G.

    Recreational rider

  • "A great service, full of personal touches as well as the "harder" scientific analysis of my position on the bike, which was also excellent. I feel more planted on the bike now, and came away with some really useful feedback from the session."
