Dean's Re-Finished Axiom XX
It is a barely discussed feature of custom Seven frames - that they are designed to be completely repairable. Over the years we have sent a few back for a new tube to be popped in, almost always due to impact damage. Seven rigorously inspect the frame, then replace the affected tube(s) and then re-finish the entire frame so it gleams like brand new. This is precisely what happened on this occasion.
Dean's Axiom XX will be four years old in March '25. We adore this bike - partly because it was so influential when it originally appeared in our bike gallery in 2021. It rapidly became one of the most cited, quoted and copied bikes we have ever posted. But also we know it does space-shuttle mileage - it is a loved bike.
Dean is an ultra-distance gravel racer (and we do mean ultra). His Axiom XX paved the way for a new cohort of racers to see Seven as their ultimate race-bike. Albeit a virtually indestructible one.
It's great to see your beautiful bike back in the gallery, Dean.
