Enve Fray

Be a Fray. Be Very a-Fray. Ahem....

Enve Fray - Close Family

We went of our way to point out in our Enve Mog test, the brave functional overlap to the Enve Melee.
Imagine our surprise when Enve 'leaked' a while ago that they are now squeezing a third model into the limited real-estate of Enve's model Venn-diagram!

All-Roads Geometry - Unravelling The Fray

Yes, I will keep going with the cheap 'Fray' sub-heads, even if they wear thin (couldn't that one)
Strangely the Fray's bulls-eye echoes our own magnificent LANDRACE Tupelo - classic all-roads bike, optimised for 32-35mm road tyre AND room for mudguards in the winter. But also feisty enough for an occasional sportiv event or even a little cyclo-x or road-race. And should the fancy take you enough designed-in versatility to carve out your own expedition. We obviously concur that this a happy space to occupy - sharper than a gravel bike but friendlier than a race-bike.

Fray also comes in 'Salt' ...

... or 'Ash'

Fighting For Space - Into The Fray

The Fray will suit a lot of people a lot of the time. It actually looks like the MOG gets most squeezed in the Enve-Venn. The Melee gets its place as one of the most versatile aero/race bikes on the planet. The Fray becomes the super-friendly do-everything bike for almost everyone. And the MOG slides into a thinner 'Gravel Race' category.

The Fray features:

  • Geometry optimized for 31-35mm tires
  • Tire clearance for up to 700 x 40 (1X Only), 700 x 38 (2X)
  • Lightweight and durable carbon construction through ENVE's Material Optimized Design process
  • Internal routing using ENVE's IN-Route System and components
  • 1x or 2x drivetrain compatibility
  • Threaded T47 bottom bracket
  • SRAM UDH
  • ENVE Cargo Box and Bags (in-frame storage)
  • Mudguard compatibility
  • Aerodynamic tube shapes and design
  • A la carte build options
  • Price - £5500 - including frame, fork, bar/stem seat-post

We are taking orders and planning builds now. Heads-up - there is very limited stock. We will be writing our own review very soon!

    MJ

    Cyclist

  • "I'm new to cycling so needed some support on finding a bike that would be right for me. Julian couldn't have been kinder or more supportive, he took time to find out what I wanted from my cycling and then looked closely at my physical structure to ensure that the bike is a comfortable fit for me. It really is a 5 star service and far exceeded my expectations."

    RM

    New Cyclist

  • "Very very personalised service. You arrive, they expect you, greet you by first name, have checked your file from past visits and set out very clearly what the process will be, what issues they're looking to address and how and they are happy to take the time to walk you through everything in layman's terms. Almost any professional service entity could learn a lot from how Cyclefit works. "
